Apple Releases Free COVID-19 Screening Tool in Partnership With White House, CDC
Wondering if you need to get tested for COVID-19 — and what to do next if you have symptoms of infection? Apple now has an app for that. The company Friday released a free screening tool and set of resources to help people stay informed and take the steps to protect their health during the COVID-19 pandemic, based on the latest CDC guidance. Apple created the new COVID-19 app and website in partnership with the CDC, the White House Coronavirus Task Force and FEMA. People in the U.S. (18 years or older) can access the screening tool and resources by downloading the COVID-19 app on Apple’s App Store or on the web at apple.com/covid19 . Apple’s COVID-19 app and website allow users to answer a series of questions around risk factors, recent exposure and symptoms for themselves or someone else.
